Classes

We offer a variety of dance styles at Central School of Dance, and we encourage students to try a number of different classes to experience a different genre and develop new skills. We offer private tutiution in all genres for eisteddfod work.

CLASSICAL BALLET

Offering both the RAD syllabus and AICD, we have a highly trained faculty specialising in classical ballet from 6 & up. Classical ballet provides the best foundation from which students can develop their skills.

JAZZ

These classes emphasize musicality, rhythm, energy, and performance. Full of personality, Jazz is a high energy, fun class

Jazz dancingt showcases a dancer's individual style and originality.

CONTEMPORARY

Lyrical/contemporary is a fluid form of dance done to popular ballads and slower contemporary music. The dancer is taught to interpret his or her movement with feeling, motion and style..

TAP

Tap dance emphasizes the flow of movement by teaching the dancer to find rhythms and beats not only in music but in their own bodies..

NATIONAL CHARACTER

The main aim of this style is to introduce students to the amazing culture and history of other countries through dance and music.

Character is a dynamic, fun filled class learning traditional steps, disciplines and cultures from European countries such as Russia, Hungary and Poland.
